artist donates art piece

The New Zealand artist Kerry Strongman, embraced by shamans and medicine men of many aboriginal peoples around the world, is well known for his mythical artefacts made from 25,000 to 40,000 year old wood from swamp Kauri. In June 2007, during the "Strongman is here" exhibition in Amsterdam, Strongman donated one of his pieces for auction to the DND Foundation (picture not yet available). The picture on the right is an example of his work.

osteoporosis project

DND supports a study that will test the validity of the excessive calcium hypothesis, regarding osteoporosis. This animal experiment will evaluate the life-term effects of high versus low calcium intakes on eventual bone strength in old age. The preparations for this osteoporosis experiment have begun.
